Human Resource Manager - Mebane, NC

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for:

  • All aspects of plant recruiting (both permanent and temp); screening applicants for hire.

  • Verifying employee timekeeping and payroll

  • Employee engagement and assistance in problem resolution.

  • Management of employment events and community activities for the plant

  • Coordination of the Safety Program under the direction of the Plant Manager.

  • Support of the annual performance and pay review for the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verify electronic timekeeping and payroll for the site

  • Screen applicants and arrange interviews for qualified applicants.

  • Manage employee access to the facility.

  • Maintain employee HR records.

  • Implement plans to maintain/boost employee engagement.

  • Conduct new employee orientation and arrange on-boarding/training.

  • Act as liaison between employees and management.

  • Suggest, monitor and administer programs to improve employee engagement and performance.

  • Communicate processes and methods for creating and maintaining an organized, clean, high performance manufacturing facility.

  • Maintain high levels of communication with the workforce regarding the status of the business and key operational plans and/or initiatives.

  • Manage company assets effectively.

  • Implement HR process improvements to reduce administrative costs.

  • Monitor and report compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations.

  • Coordinate & conduct Monthly Safety Committee meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources role; strong recruiting and generalist background.

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus in Human Resources, preferred.

  • Demonstrate high-level confidentiality.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong process orientation and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities successfully.

  • Detail oriented, logical and methodological approach to problem solving.

  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees.

  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.

  • Above-average proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.

  • PHR Certification preferred.
